How to make your own Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bag

This Halloween Trick - or - Treat bag is easy to make and once Halloween is done, it can be stored away until next year!!!

You will need: Fabric for the Halloween bag, orange, yellow, and white felt for the candy corn, and basic sewing needs.

Draw a pattern for your candy corn and cut out your pieces in orange, yellow, and white felt.

Cut a long strip 2 1/2" X 18" out of your bag fabric for your bag handle.

Cut a piece of fabric 32" X 14"  for your trick-or-treat bag.  Pin your candy corn to to the pretty side of one side of your bag in the center.  Zigzag stitch around your candy corn staying close to the candy corn edge.

Place the strap for your bag pretty sides together. Pin. Stitch down the long side. Turn your bag handle to pretty side out. Press flat.

Place bag pretty sides and pin the sides together.  DO NOT pin the top, (that is where the candy goes in)

Straight stitch the sides using the pressure foot as your guide.

Turn the top of your bag down 1/4"  towards the ugly side of the fabric and press.  Turn it down again 1& 1/2" and press. Pin. Stitch along the top of your bag making sure your bag is open and you don't catch the other side. (Other wise, you will stitch the top of your bag closed and candy can't get in..., we wouldn't want that.)

Place the one side of your handle on the ugly side of your bag at the side seam. Stitch it in place making sure you do not catch the other side of your bag.  Do the same to the other side of your handle on the other side of your bag.

Your Halloween Trick-or-Treat bag is done. I hope this Halloween it gets filled with lots of good treats.
