Alycia and her
"Broom" skirt
she made of brown and pink calico prints. She designed and made this with no
pattern. A great deal amount of
gathering was involved. Great job Alycia.
April designed and
made this "Broom" skirt by taking her waist measurements for the top section
and adding 8" for gathering. Then she added 8" more inches for each
section to come up with a four layered broom skirt. She added soft
white lace to the bottom for the right feminine touch.
A "pool skirt" - This is a
simple wrap skirt with ties to hold it closed. This was designed in
mind to wear as a bathing suit cover up.
Sara shows her skirt she made
for the 1st day of school. It is made from soft wool blend fabric with a
blue, teal, and pink plaid. She trimmed the hem with teal lace.
Wonderful job Sara. Learn to make your own
skirt pattern.
Leslie was looking
for a "flared" skirt with some detail. So she designed this adorable
skirt. She also wanted to challenge herself and make a more advance
skirt with a zipper and yoke waistband.
Here is a photo of
the awesome tie-dyed skirt that Brianna made. Notice the bottom hemline,
it is a "V" to one side. This is the easiest skirt pattern
available that we recommend for beginner designers and sewers.
You can make one too!
