It
is very important to keep your sewing machine covered when not in use.
It really does make a difference and
you want to protect it from dust, lint, scrapes, and nicks. Why put all
that money and effort into sewing if you are not going to protect your
equipment. Notice in the photo below that all 4 machines are covered.
It doesn't have to be anything fancy or great, just a cover to protect it.
These covers were made out of left over calico country fabrics.

You can even
decorate the front as shown in the photo at the top of the page and in
this photo below. One of my students did this and attached
the "I Love Sewing" onto it with wonder-under. She made this for her mom's sewing
machine at home.

Making a sewing
machine cover is not only protecting your machine but it can be fun and
you can be as creative as you want.
