Fall/Winter/Spring
2009 - 2010 |
We will be offering the
following classes from Sept.-May:
|
Friday Night and Saturday: "Open Sewing 3 hours $38.00" (Sept.-April)
these classes are set up for students who enjoy sewing and once
a week is just not enough for them. It is for students who want
to learn more, and have more time to work on their project. They
are upon
availability and will be sent to you by e-mail. This is on a
first come-first serve basis. |
| Private
Lessons: Private lessons are available most week nights
and weekends to fit your schedule. Private lessons must be
scheduled in advance. More information can be found
here. |
OPEN SEWING
CLASSES

Students may sew anything they wish
from clothing to quilts to crafts.
Students are encouraged to try different projects in
degree of difficulty at their own pace.
New students who have
never sewn before are welcome to join the open sewing classes
once they have completed a 3 hour private lesson.
Students may make their own
Halloween costume in "Open Sewing" Classes
and they can make a
family vintage memory quilt too!
Young students who are fashion minded are encouraged to take
this class.
They will continue working on their fashion
design/sewing portfolio. Students will learn different
fabrics, seams, the function of a machine, reaction to
fabrics, and pattern making.
During the year students will make 3 - 4 projects in an
intermediate to difficult degree of difficulty. The objective
of this class is to introduce skills to students who are
interested in fashion design and dress making so that they can
produce garments that will look both professional and
original.

Semi-Private Sewing
Class
Our semi-private sewing class
has a maximum of 2 students only. Whether new to sewing or
advanced, students will have one-on-one training and can
work intensively on both their projects and their sewing
portfolios. Students will work at their own pace and skill
level.
*Students who are highly
interested in fashion design and wish to participate in
local fashion shows are encouraged to take both the Dress
making and Fashion Design class, and a Semi-Private Class.
