OPEN SEWING CLASSES

Students may sew anything they wish from clothing to quilts to crafts.  Students are encouraged to try different projects in degree of difficulty at their own pace.

COST: $80.00 per month  New students who have never sewn before are welcome to join the open sewing classes once they have completed a 2 hour private lesson.

Students may make their own Halloween costume in "Open Sewing" Classes

and they can make a family vintage memory quilt too!

A memory quilt consists of 12-16 old or new photos that you supply of your family. We scan the photos and give them back to you. Then we transfer them in black and white and put on fabric. Your  beautiful vintage memory quilt will be accented in antique lace, buttons, and bows.  You can keep it for yourself or give it as a great gift to grand parents or parents.

All Quilts will be done by Christmas!!!

Prerequisite  a minimum of 3 years of open sewing class AND prior approval from Mrs. Harris
Young students who are fashion minded are encouraged to take this class.  They will continue working on their fashion design/sewing portfolio. Students will learn different fabrics, seams, the function of a machine, reaction to fabrics, and pattern making.
During the year students will make 3 - 4 projects in an intermediate to difficult degree of difficulty. The objective of this class is to introduce skills to students who are interested in fashion design and dress making so that they can produce garments that will look both professional and original.

Cost: $85.00 per month

*Students who are highly interested in fashion & dress making are encouraged to take both nights of classes.
