| Well, its that time of the
year. My favorite time for sewing because I am stuck inside while it
is bitter cold outside, but my worst time of the year personally, because
I love being out in the sun by my pool. So what gets me by these
next few cold months?....Sewing, Quilting, and Designing...that's what!
So gather up some fabric and supplies and
let's make some winter projects in our nice warm homes while the cold air
and snow stay outside where they belong.
There will be nights (and days) when
snuggling by the fire place, or just hanging out on the sofa watching your favorite old
movie will be what you want to do. And for that, we will need a nice warm comfy quilt! Raggedy
quilts are fast, fun, and easy to make! Why not try one this
winter...We even have raggedy quilt
kits for sale!

Can't forget about mittens
and scarves now can we? Here are some free directions
on how to make a nice
snuggly warm scarf. And directions for adding the rosettes just like
Angela did on Project RUNWAY season Three. Okay...Angela went a
little crazy with the rosettes and added too many,
but ours look nice and we only added a couple of them!

Or...how about making this
adorable snowman to keep on the fireplace mantel all winter? Isn't
he cute? He is one of my biggest sellers at the local craft shows
where I
sell my crafts at. You can find the pattern for him at
www.raggedypants.com

One last thing about keeping warm all winter.
When you
head outside, you'll need a coat. Why not test your skills and make
yourself a jacket. Whether a blazer, winter coat, or zip-up hoodie made
from fleece, try one today. This reversible coat
shown below was made from fleece and ultra suede. It was quick and
easy to make, yet keeps you real warm because of the fabrics it is made
from. And then there is "Sewing
with Fleece!" |
