With a Vampire"-
"Claudia", played by Kirsten Dunst is a young vampire and has beautiful dresses
made just for her. While sewing by hand one of the seamstresses pricks her
finger with the sewing needle and Claudia is quick to suck the blood. (Not a
good movie for kids to see.) |

| 1995 - "How to Make an American
Quilt" - Winona Ryder, a student returns to her home town for a
summer to think about her soon to be marriage. The quilting bee that her grandmother
held at her house as a child still meets. During the summer the ladies sew into
the wedding quilt their hopes and memories. This is an excellent movie and my 3
teenage daughters loved it too!!! |

| 1997 -"For Richer or Poorer"
- with Kristy Alley and Tim Allen, not only does Kristy Alley learn
to sew and quilt, she ends up doing fashion design for the Amish in this movie,
introducing them to more color, and putting on a "Fashion Show". Great movie!!! |

| 2002-"Sweet Home Alabama"
- The opening scene after Melanie's flashback of her past,
played by Reese Witherspoon, is her gathering all
her clothes she designed. She ends up being a successful fashion designer, and
having her own fashion show with her line of clothes that the critiques loved. |

| 2002 - "Real Women Have Curves"
- a story of Ana, a first generation
Mexican-American teenager on the verge of becoming a woman. She lives in the
predominately Latino community of East Los Angeles. Freshly graduated from high
school, Ana receives a full scholarship to Columbia University. Her very
traditional, old-world parents feel that now is the time for Ana to help provide
for the family, not the time for college. Torn between her mainstream ambitions
and her cultural heritage she agrees to work with her mother at her sister's
downtown LA sewing factory. Over the summer she learns to sew and admire the hardworking
team of women who teach her solidarity and teamwork. |

- While Lizzie, played by Hillary Duff, is in Rome,
the fashion designers are all over her, and have her
try on numerous new fashions they have designed just for her! |

Fashion industry and trying to move up in that field! |
