George Bryan "Beau" Brummell:
"Dandy" ism. During the 1800's was a style of dress and lifestyle for men
that celebrated elegance and refinement (straight posture, well fitting
clothes with gloves and a top hat.) He was one of the most noted figures
in men's clothing.
Jacqueline Kennedy: early 1960's.
Her trademark was the pillbox hat and suits with three quarter sleeves.
The Beatles: They came to the U.S.
in 1964 wearing mop-top hair styles. It changed to crew cut hair cut
look. It became standard fashion for men by the 70's. They were
considered extreme in the early 1960's. |
