1 1/2 - 2 pounds of lean
ground beef or venison
2 -3 small onions chopped
1 (15-ounce) can dark kidney
beans, drained
1 ( 15-ounce) can light
kidney beans, drained
2 (1 1/4-ounce) packets of
your favorite chili seasoning mix
2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans diced
tomatoes with jalapenos
1 cup water
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
salt & pepper to taste
Brown the meat in a skillet
pan over medium heat, add chopped onions, cook for 5 minutes. Break
up the clumps of meat as much as possible.
Transfer to a slow cooker,
add the rest of the ingredients, stir together. Cook on low for 7 -
8 hours.
Top with your favorite
shredded cheese and chopped scallions if desired.
